This website and its resources are offered completely free for the benefit of the community and to promote the better understanding and appreciation for our town’s rich history. There are ways to support us, and the cause of Bridgwater’s history and heritage, if you choose.
Contributions to help support the maintenance of the website, or for occasional projects undertaken by us, would however be keenly appreciated. Details of how this might be done will be posted shortly.
Purchasing books from our online store helps, and you can get in contact if you would like to help in any other way. Contributions to the website are always very cheerfully received.
We can also offer a transcription service for historic documents and old indentures that relate to the town and its history. We will usually be happy to consult these documents gratis, but a voluntary fee would be appreciated, which will help support our efforts. Contact us for more information.
You might also consider becoming a supporter of the town’s other history and heritage organisations, such as the Blake Museum, the Bridgwater and District Archaeological Society, the Bridgwater and District Civic Society or the Friends of the Wembdon Road Cemetery.
