A group of buildings occupying burgage plots outside the medieval boundary. They are a mixture of gable-to-street and longitudinal elevations. The facades are deceiving, for within is good-quality C15th/16 timber-work, stone and wattle and-daub walls with other features of special interest. –Dr Peter Cattermole August 2010.
