The following Auction Posters were sent to the Estate Exchange at 155 Queen Victoria Street in London to notify them of a sale for the Estate Gazette. The Estate Exchange at 155 Queen Victoria Street, London, was a business that facilitated real estate transactions, particularly dealing in the buying, selling, and leasing of properties.These preserve for us the sort of street ephemera that does not tend to survive. They seem to have been posted the day after each sale.

This was posted to the Estate Exchange on 13 October 1945. Auction poster for 11 Alexandra Road, previously occupied by Mr R Corder, auction being held on 14 December 1945 at the Malt Shovel across the road. The pencilled note on the right tells us this sold for £1450 (that would roughly equate to £51,549 in 2017!). Auction Poster for ‘Lansdowne’ 66 Durleigh Road held on 29 August 1952. Previous occupant Mr C. Baker. This was posted to the Estate Exchnage on 30 August 1952. Auction Poster for 1 Penarth Road held on 26 September 1952. Previous occupant Mr S. J. Adams.
