Court Farm Puriton 1929 Auction Catalogue

This auction catalogue details Court Farm Puriton and two other plots of land, sold on the 24th July 1929. It was sold by C.G. Bond. This catalogue seems to have been owned by Lily Godfrey, who purchased Lot 3 detailed below.

PARTICULARS.
Lot 1. A Highly desirable DAIRY HOLDING known as COURT FARM situate in the parish of Puriton comprising a substantially built FARMHOUSE, an adequate range of AGRICULTURAL BUILDINGS and closes of very productive GRASS LAND

The main portion of the Farmhouse, together with the Lawn, Garden and a Garage are in the occupation of Mr. C. G. Bond, the owner, and possession will be given at Ladyday next, Mr. Bond paying a rent for some at the rate of £25 a year from the settlement of the purchase. The remainder of the Farmhouse with the Agricultural Buildings and Lands are held by Mr. A. H. Baker on a yearly Ladyday tenancy at s rental of £810.

The portion of the House occupied by the Owner comprises:— Drawing and Dining Rooms, Kitchen, Larder, Indoor W.C. and 4 Bedrooms with a Bathroom and Boxroom.

The portion held by Mr. Baker contains:— Sitting Room, Living Room, Dairy and Scullery and 8 Bedrooms.

The Agricultural Buildings comprise :—Large Barn, 8-bay Galvanised Hay House, Stables for 8, Cowstalls for 18 and 10 Cows respectively, 8 Loose Boxes, Linhay, Implement Sheds and Coal and Store Houses with convenient walled Bartons.

The House and all the Buildings arc stone built and tiled.

Lot 2. A productive CLOSE OF MEADOW LAND known as ” Long Seven Acres ” situate abutting the Pawlett Road
